- Your logo, if you have one
- Photos you own or have permission to use
- Domain arrangements (bought separately)
- Cancelling care
- Cancel care at any time by text or email with no fee. Hosting stops and the site goes offline at the end of the paid month, and no further charges are made. A domain you purchased stays yours. There is no fixed-term minimum or later build balance.
- Late payment
- If a monthly care payment fails, you have 7 days from the unpaid invoice’s due date to pay. If it is still unpaid after those 7 days, hosting is paused the next day: the site goes offline, nothing is deleted, and it comes back once the payment is made. Before any pause we check the payment again and make sure you have your website files and a notice showing the payment deadline and the planned pause date. Cancelling care yourself is different: service continues through your paid-through date.
- Ownership: what you buy
You buy the finished website. Once payment and delivery are confirmed, you get a downloadable copy of it. You can keep using it and hire any developer, including after you cancel care.
You keep:
- Your content: the text, photos, logo and business information you supplied
- Your domain, registered in your own account
Your website download includes:
- Your complete website files, ready to run on another host, with step-by-step instructions
- Images, fonts and other assets we are allowed to pass on, with their license notices
- A list of outside services your site uses, and which ones need your own account
You get the download at launch, an updated one after changes we deliver, and a final one before hosting ends. Receiving the files costs nothing extra. Hands-on help moving your site is optional and quoted separately. Your private download remains available for 90 days after hosting ends. After that, download access expires; your underlying files are not deleted. Save your own copy. A pause is reversible: you can resume care when payment resumes. Restoration timing is confirmed with Julian.
Never included: passwords or account logins, other customers’ information, or assets we are not allowed to pass on (the download lists anything you would need to replace).
GRIM keeps: GRIM Empire Studio keeps its reusable library of templates and components. You may use and change the components included in your site, for your site. You may not resell the library as a separate template product.
Third-party services:
- Hosting: runs on GRIM’s hosting account while care is active. It does not transfer; your copy can go on any static web host.
- Other outside services your site uses (for example fonts, booking or payment links) are listed in your download, including which ones need your own account.
- Domain: stays in your own registrar account.
- Any service you use after cancelling is yours to set up and pay for.
Hosting end: Hosting, maintenance and routine support end at the end of the paid service period, and the site goes offline then unless you have moved it. Cancelling does not include hosting after that.
- Payment
- After both sides sign, Julian sends a client-specific Stripe checkout for this scope. No payment is taken on this website.
Still to be confirmed before signing
- Controlling service agreement: The /terms page says a signed service agreement controls the work. That agreement has not been written or reviewed yet.
- Delivery timing: Agreed with Julian for your project before he countersigns. No standard turnaround is promised.
- Refunds: Not settled yet.
- Domain arrangements: Buying the domain is separate. Who registers it and how it is connected is confirmed per project.
- Fixes after launch: A 30-day defect warranty is proposed in /terms but not settled.
- Taxes: Not settled yet.
